Apollo 13 and Australia is a one-off event that brings Ron Howard’s Academy Award winning film APOLLO 13 back to the big screen for the first time in many years, and exactly 50 years after the dramatic events of that ill-fated mission took place between 11 and 18 April 1970.

“HOUSTON, WE’VE HAD A PROBLEM.”

These words set in motion a historic series of events. For three days, three astronauts huddled together in the lunar module Aquarius as the team in Mission Control on Earth worked to solve the problem of how to bring them home alive.

No other space mission before or since called on the collaboration of so many – in Mission Control and around the world – to solve such a critical challenge.

Apollo 13 and Australia will also tell the story of Australia’s unique and important role in saving Apollo 13.  As a special feature, we’ll have an exclusive live presentation by retired ‘tracker’ John Saxon who was part of the team at Australia’s Honeysuckle Creek Tracking Station during all of the Apollo missions, including Apollo 13.

Apollo 13 and Australia kicks off at 1:00 pm and we’ll wrap up after the Apollo 13 movie and presentation at around 5:30 pm.

This will be an afternoon to remember. Seating is limited, so book now, bring your friends and relive history.
