DAY OF THE DOGS
Join us for a special cinematic celebration honouring the Western Bulldogs’ remarkable 100-year legacy. The event begins with a screening of Year of the Dogs (in 35mm film), the beloved documentary that captures the raw passion, loyalty, and heart of the Bulldogs community.
We then continue with Dogma, a locally produced documentary offering a fresh and intimate look at the club’s cultural significance through the eyes of fans and filmmakers from the West.
This will be followed by a post film panel and book launch. The panel will consist of special guests Irene Chatfield, Carlos Asencio, Nana Shazza (aka Sharon Cutajar) who feature in the film, book publishers of Bulldogs Through and Through, and Laura Spurway moderating as MC.
Continuing with Outsiders, a powerful and emotional film chronicling the Bulldogs’ historic rise, resilience, and ultimate triumph in the 2016 AFL Premiership.
The event concludes with a guest panel including special guests Bob Murphy and Outsiders director Adi Brown, moderated by Laura Spurway.
This triple-feature event is a tribute to the club’s spirit, its people, and a century of unforgettable football moments – a must-see for every Dogs supporter and lover of Melbourne’s west.
The Sun Bookshop will be in attendance with copies of Bulldogs Through & Through, the Club’s official 100-year commemorative book, available for purchase.
Western Bulldogs merchandise will also be available for purchase.
